Milelja Yoga Retreat: June 5 – 12, 2019
The Milelja Retreat Centre is located on the Greek Island of Lesvos in the eastern Aegean, a ten-minute walk to the sea and the small town of Molyvos. The Milelja Retreat Centre provides a calm and intimate atmosphere perfect for a yoga retreat. With sweeping views of Molyvos and the sea, this three-acre property with its old trees, flower gardens, and natural stone buildings set into the landscape create a truly lush and unique character.
The island of Lesvos is off the beaten track of mass tourism and it has the feel of authentic Greek life. Lesvos is the third largest island in Greece with many different landscapes, and traditional villages. The island is blessed with healing hot springs, a variety of birds, beautiful beaches, petrified forests, medieval castles, fine museums, and unique cuisine.
Molyvos and Eftalou Hot Spring
Molyvos is one of the most attractive small towns in Greece. It is architecturally protected due to its historical importance as an ancient sea port. Molyvos is situated on a conical shaped hill crowned by a magnificent medieval castle. A walk through the market roofed by flower arcades, down to the picturesque port, is an expedition through the eventful history of the island. One can find traditional restaurants, uncrowded beaches, cafes, and shops.
Efalou Hot Springs is only a few kilometers away from Molyvos. The spring is located next to the sea on a wonderful beach. You can enjoy the wonderful water in a big basin made of natural stone which is covered by a dome. The water contains radium, chloride and sodium among other healing minerals.
